About Me: It's fun to know our members a little bit.
Animals are my passion! They have led me down an entirely different path in life than I ever would have imagined years ago. Working with them is a privilege and a great joy. My canine massage practice, From Head to Tail Canine Massage, constantly reminds me of the unconditional love we should all be so fortunate to have for one another -- and is the (relative) "norm" in the kingdom of canines! Being in veterinary medicine for the past 6+ years has enabled me to meet so many wonderful people who are trying to make a difference in the lives of our animal friends! I am fortunate that my husband, friends, and family are VERY supportive and understanding when it comes to the amount of time I spend away from them and with my furry clients -- and that my husband can be with my "kids" when I'm not there!

Prior to getting involved with animals and veterinary work, I was a practicing artist (big, abstract metal work - welded steel) and was represented by the Mark Woolley Gallery in Portland and the Lee Freed Gallery in Lincoln City.

Before I began my career as an artist, I was a business woman in the area of commercial/industrial real estate in the Portland office of a company based in Los Angeles.
What Kind of Dog(s) Do You Have? What are their name(s)? It's nice to know.
Lexi, a Chocolate Lab, and Maddie, a Vizsla Mix. (aka Lexi Lu, Lu Lu Pie and Maddie Mu, Mu Mu, etc.)

2 non-dog Orange Tabbies, Fiona and Zu Zu.

I've included photos of these kids as well as photos of our kids who have transitioned out of this plane in the last year or so. So Blue, the Bernese Mountain Dog, Laika, the Norfolk Terrier, Elvis, the grey kitty, and Della, the black kitty are all off playing somewhere else, but I just had to share.

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me. I'm slowly going to develop an online newsletter and am thinking about who might contribute some compelling articles of interest. We could shoot some ideas around and see what resonates for us. Something with insight into the challenges and wins...I'm glad you are interested.

Hi Laurie,
I'm wondering if you would like to write something about working with disabled pups. I think it's very interesting and I'm sure other members would as well.

Hi Kim ~
OCD is most common in elbows but obviously can occur in other joints. Rest (inactivity!) is critical, as are the appropriate supplements (we talked about some of those). I know you'll all go stir crazy, but we can also talk about how to manage the confinement process. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you as well -- despite the painful circumstances! Give Sidney and the other pups BIG hugs for me!

Hey there. I remember the first time we met. My St Bernard Emmett wa a ten week old puppy that I brought to back on track. You hugged him endlessly and helped us pick out a harness. He is a big boy now and is doing great

After meeting you at the flyball event, I sent your card on to my client with a lab who has severe arthritis. If there is someone who can help him, it's you! and he is such a deserving old boy, I hope he can get some relief. Thanks for all you do for the dogs who need that extra TLC, looking forward to seeing you at a future event!
