- About Me: It's fun to know our members a little bit.
- Hello, my name is Andi. I am a 5-year-old, female, black labrador retriever with a very sweet tempermant. People tell me I have soulful eyes.
I am originally from Tucson, Arizona, where I was rescued by my adoptive parents, Brynne and Bill. In 2005 we moved to Portland, Oregon and haven't looked back. I love all the green in this city! And Forest Park...oh Forest Park!
My best friend is Ellie, a beautiful golden retriever whose owner happens to be the creator of this incredible website. You'll notice pictures of me on Andrea and Ellie's website.
My mom takes me to work with her most of the time. I spend my days in a mental health clinic. I think I'm pretty darn therapeutic. My mom and I will try to pass the Dove Lewis Assisted Animal Therapy test on May 3 so we can reach more people in the community. I think the carrots are really helping me with my downs and down stays. We are training every day and hope so much to pass the test!
Well, that's a little bit about me and my family. I hope people continue to join this website so that I can meet new dogs and have a social network for myself here in Portland. The more dogs the merrier!

Andi the therapy dog!
Andi passed her Dove Lewis Animal Assisted Therapy evaluation at the beginning of May and her and I are certified as a therapy team! It's very exciting. We do weekly visits to an assisted living facility and this week start our monthly trip to the public library for Read to the Dogs. Andi wanted to make sure we thanked everyone for their prayers...they worked!

Just wanted to touch base with you cause Warner's developed a reoccuring rash on his stomach. Andrea told me that Andi also had a skin problem, so I was curious to know what worked for you guys? The vet has given Warner some antibiotics which will clear it up, but then it will reappear after a few weeks. I am transitioning Warner to a new food and have begun feeding him raw + veggies to see if that will help clear things up. Also, Andrea said you guys found a good shampoo...
Anyhow, I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

My collie and I are a DLAATE team...maybe we'll see you at the "test"...!? We're helping out that day...

I met you over at Andrea's a couple of months ago. Please tell Andi that I'm rooting for him to make his debut as a therapy dog! Maybe I'll get to meet him at one of the volunteer classes that I teach to the hard working Dove Lewis Therapy dogs and their owners.
