Pixie was hard to motivate. When we got him he was not especially food driven nor did he like cuddles , ear scratches or attention. He was miserable due to allergies so he did enjoy body scratches, but that would set him off more so we did more soothing calming run the hand alongs then scratches. Eventually the medication stimulated his appetite and the E cone made his ears inaccessible so he learned to appreciate food and ear scratches form us and now they are a part of his every day happy life…

My works hours have been reduced to on-call so I appreciate Mr. Woofies even more now. He knows I have been worried and has been very cuddly lately.
Gave him a bath recently. Kidlet was at Gmas so he came in the shower with me. He knows when I turn around in the bathroom- instantly completely flat and small as possible against the door :)
While I shower myself he huddles at the other end, nose buried in the shower curtain trying to pretend he is anywhere but there. He does enjoy the sudsing and…

Right before time to get up this morning I woke up from a nightmare. I was cooking and Pixie was, as usual, under my feet. I cut up some hot dog for him to occupy him and when i turned my back I heard him breathing oddly- he was choking! Pixie likes to have crazy time right before we all go to bed. Irritating but luckily, cute as well.
While watching him ferociously hang onto (what is left of ) the bear and play tuggy while Posy lifted him up and down and dragged him around and he lept and fetched (well kinda) and growled and bowed and danced, I thought about how far he'd come. He did not know how to play when we got him. He bowed but his play repertoire was limited to bow and mount- not really anything we were into :B
I've me…

We had a lovely time this weekend. Went out to my parents. They live in the country and are completely fenced so Pixie gets to run around like a crazy boy and play with one of my Moms Border Collies.
Posy takes the two of them on long 'walks' which consist of them running in huge silly circles while she runs to catch up. They return soaking wet (wet grass and water tubs) and get washed off and semi- dried, Pixie exhausted, my moms guy hardly tired a'tall!
Despite his relative good shape- Pixie a…
