"pick of the litter" information, resources & connections

You know you are a dog owner when...

If you get startled in your sleep, you jump out of bed assuming someone is eager to go potty.

You don't get grossed out by the sight of drool on the leather couch or the ceiling for that matter.

You start to think of every small bag that comes your way as a potential poop bag.

You don't really go on vacations.

You simply just pick the the random dog hair off your plate, w/out any comment or wince, as your guest looks over in disgust.

You think of your schedule in terms of potty times and how long you can be away from home before the dog needs to be let out.

You find yourself talking about your dogs like your family, friends and co-workers talk about their children

Your dogs picture is in your wallet...On the walls of your house...On the night-stand

You refer to yourself as "mom" or "dad"

You ask people how they like their vaccum

You even have a lint roller in your car

Can anyone add to the list?

So true! My boyfriend always laughs at me cause I order Alfie something special every time we go out to eat. I eat most of it and save him the last two bites. At taco bell it's a cheese quesadilla with no sauce. McDonald's is a kiddy cone. lol!

You have a dog seat on the front passenger seat of your car.

Your dogs' rain jackets hang in the coat closet next to yours.

...worry all the time that she's not getting enough of something...
...do her dental work before my own

If it's too hot to leave fido in the car, you can't go out to dinner or they must have outdoor pet friendly seating.

yes! I forgot about the poop bags... we have found many of those in the dryer as well. :)

haha, yeah, as I have been procrastinating terribly about getting my dental work done. Their many appointments always come first

...call the vet frequently just to ask, "Is this normal?" or "Is it okay if she _____?"
I worry so much that we bring our pups to Banfield and have one of their wellness plans...just for the free office visits!!! (It helps that we really like the vet there too.)

...think nothing of getting into the tub with all of your clothes on just to bath your new puppy when you realize he is TOTALLY freaked out by it all.
