"pick of the litter" information, resources & connections

I just moved here and live in Goose Hollow. I have a cat and dog and am looking for a good solid vet clinic. Would be nice if they were also holistic. I got lucky in my old place and had one fairly close. Thanks ahead of time for the suggestions.

PS - Portland Animal Clinic is really close by -- anybody used them?

I'm looking for a vet, too. And holistic would be ideal! Hope we get some great suggestions! :)

I have heard great things about Mt Scott. Hawthorn holistic vet is now taking more clients.

I actually ended up taking him to Hawthorne Vet Clinic (which is holistic).

I've taken Baxter and my cat (Grace). They are super nice.

There are many wonderful vets in Portland. Some a members of pdxdog.com. If you haven't found a vet downtown yet, I would suggest the new Pearl Animal Hospital/Dr. Courtney Anders. Also, Dr. Sulis of Mt. Tabor Vet Clinic is excellent.

I used to work at Animal Medical Clinic. I REALLY like Dr. Dilday. I would definitely trust his work. However, he's not holistic. If you want a vet who's more holistic and are willing to drive out of your way for an AWESOME vet, I take my pets to Dogwood Pet Hospital in Gresham. I drive there from SE Portland - it's worth it to me to have vets who I trust COMPLETELY who are realistic about doing the best for one's pet within your means. They do acupuncture and western-style herbs in addition to conventional bio-medical treatments.
