My works hours have been reduced to on-call so I appreciate Mr. Woofies even more now. He knows I have been worried and has been very cuddly lately.
Gave him a bath recently. Kidlet was at Gmas so he came in the shower with me. He knows when I turn around in the bathroom- instantly completely flat and small as possible against the door :)
While I shower myself he huddles at the other end, nose buried in the shower curtain trying to pretend he is anywhere but there. He does enjoy the sudsing and scrubbing though and waits semi-patiently for me to dry off before I wrap him up in a towel for his fave part- the dry off!
Before he is dry he has wriggled his way to the floor and starts rolling on the rug flipping back and forth as fast as he can, then he stands at the door and sings to me to open the door. He leaps out and races around the house bouncing from the sofa to the ottoman to the floor and back to a chair- circles and ovals and squares- he is a damp hair-shedding blur! Then he comes back to me and starts hopping from foot to foot- his tail winding in ever broader circles and he sings some more. If i dare grab a stuffed animal he jumps 4 feet straight up to grab for it and pulls me across the room 6 inches at a time sounding rabid and ferocious. Then comes the potty dance- back and forth between me and the back door- moving as fast as I can he still manages to weave between us a half dozen times.
Then right back to the leap across the furniture- trying not to touch the floor- singing and rolling across the sofa- he is possessed by the clean.
He smells so wonderful- for once I am sniffing him!
Silly dog.......
