Introduce Yourself
I'm a fun, easy to get to know, animal lover/magnet, artist looking to make new friends in this wonderful city. I'm funny, witty, intelligent, trustworthy, honest, open-minded, I do not judge, helpful, compassionate, secure, strong, willing to try new things, a great teacher, leader, passionate, I see the beauty in this world differently than most; I love most things but especially horses/riding, rescuing animals/supporting them, hiking, camping, road trips, food/cooking, markets/shops, fairs/festivals, clothing swaps, free events, live music, swimming, sailing, gem/rock hunting, rain and snow, sledding, want to learn snowshoeing, I'm a big computer/technology geek - do you need help installing a program or fixing a bug? I'm your gal! I work with animals for a living and I love it so much, it is so rewarding to me. I am really happy with my life. My glass is always half full. I have a great personality, I'm very creative as an artist and I really live life to its fullest every day no matter what!
Tell us about your pets
I'm getting a Husky or Malamute or German Shepard rescue dog when I move to Portland & get my own place. I want to get a sturdy dog who I can train to be my service dog. There's another women in Portland who did just that with her St Bernard. I'm excited to be a part of the dog community here! Later on in life, when I get better, I want to get into Search & Rescue using dogs as my partner. But I love all dogs and I just visited the OHS and was quite impressed. I plan to work there as a volunteer in the training/behavior division, as well as helping the un-adoptable animals become adoptable by working with them and helping with their rehabilitation. I specialize in working with special needs pets and helping them overcome their issues, especially those who were abused or neglected and have to learn how to be a dog or a horse again.
