Please Tell Us About Yourself: I am a Portland native and have always owned dogs. I am a teacher and have taught public school for 20 years-everything from elementary through college level.

Introduce Your Dogs and/or Cats. What are their Names?: I have a seven year old mini schnauzer named Grace and a one year old goldendoodle named Mia.

Why Did You Join This Network?: I think it is a great way to get to know so many kinds of local people who share their love for their dogs.

I am the owner of Go Fetch-it is a yearly coupon book showcasing local businesses in and around the Portland area.
While putting the book together this past summer, I met sooooo many wonderful people! It gave me a great sense of community.

How did you find us?: I was had a booth next to Laurie, Melody and Cherish at the NW Pet and Companion Fair. Laurie emailed me the link-I love it!

There is a great book by Portland's own writer/trainer, Deborah Wood called HELP FOR YOUR SHY DOG. You can find it at dogwise.com. In fact, Deb even has a pdxdog profile, she's smart, very dog savvy and funny! Also, If you repost your comment as a Conversation Topic in the Trainer's group, I'd be happy to give you some exercises and advice to get going!
