- I am owned by four rescues, 3 pups and 1 kitty. I'm the co-editor, along with my husband, on the 'For The Love Of Dog' blog on Dogster.com.
In 2006 my dog Bo wrote me a book for x-mas. It was so cute cute I found him a literary agent and in July 2008 he put paw to paper and signed a contract with Kensington Books. Now his book BAD TO THE BONE is about to be nationally published, out in bookstores the end of September. You can read a preview chap if you want on his site www.boknowsonline.com.

- Tell us about your pets
- Bo-our writing/blogging chow/retriever. Got him from a shelter.
Copper- his Rhodesian mix sis who we got from a rescue group.
Logan- a Bernese Mtn. dog who was the stud dog at a puppy mill for four years until he was rescued. Adopted him a year ago- he was terribly abused but has made wonderful progress over the last year.
Moose- Our somewhat constipated kitty who we got from the same shelter as Bo.

Congratulations on getting published. I had to self-publish my book. But it was worth it. My publishing co is called "For the Love of Dog Books". I saw that you have a blog with that name. Dog lovers think a like.

I'll have to look at you blog and contrats on your new book.
I think you will enjoy Portland, we are very friendly, dog crazy and fun. We are small for a city and very neighborhood centered.

If you ever want to advertise your book, I have a killer ad package for $300 a year, less than .75 a day. Go to the Advertise Tab, click on the media kit and you will see if it suits you at all. Just thought I'd mention it.
