It takes a dog with very strong core muscles to sit up but it truly takes effort, control and muscular strength to do it on a ball, unstable surface, stool etc. Force's hips were out of alignment and his lumbar area was tight, like rock hard. The osteopath we saw said that his hips had been out for a very long time. This made it so he was not able to fully extend his hind legs. In addition to seeing an osteopath we spent several months using massage and acupressure. He is now very healthy but is still very prone to injury and I have to watch him very closely. We do massage and acupressure regularly, alternating our training with core strengthening exercises, fun tricks and agility. They have never been stronger or happier. I believe in my heart that without the core strengthening I would not be able to do agility with Force because he does everything very aggressively and with no regard for his own safety. That is were I come in. All three of my dogs train in the same manner and I have seen fabulous results from it. Nurturing the Mind, Body, and Spirit of your dog is so important.
