Introduce Yourself
My three boys are rescues. Stanley, Force and Riley. I truly believe in rescue 100%. With one Border Collie/Flat Coat Retriever mix and two Border Collies in the house, my life is very busy and always interesting.

My three boys and I train everyday. We have been training in agility for 6 years and am now focusing on core strengthening and self control. I teach core strengthening classes for dogs using the theraball (yes they get on it with all four feet), bosu trainer, core disc and other props. Teaching these behaviors is a fun way to challenge, strengthen and bond with your dog. A dog with good Core Strength is less likely to be injured. Having a strong core allows them to have firmer footing, better reflexes, balance and overall performance. In addition, I teach a motivation/drive/self control class using Crate Games and one jump exercises. Please email me at pawsitiveperformance@yahoo.com or go to www.PetUtopia.com, www.doggonegoodplace.com, www.campdoggietails.com for schedule, costs and classes.

Force Sitting on the Bosu trainer.

It takes a dog with very strong core muscles to sit up but it truly takes effort, control and muscular strength to do it on a ball, unstable surface, stool etc. Force's hips were out of alignment and his lumbar area was tight, like rock hard. The osteopath we saw said that his hips had been out for a very long time. This made it so he was not able to fully extend his hind legs. In addition to seeing an osteopath we spent several months using massage and acupressure. He is now very healthy but is still very prone to injury and I have to watch him very closely. We do massage and acupressure regularly, alternating our training with core strengthening exercises, fun tricks and agility. They have never been stronger or happier. I believe in my heart that without the core strengthening I would not be able to do agility with Force because he does everything very aggressively and with no regard for his own safety. That is were I come in. All three of my dogs train in the same manner and I have seen fabulous results from it. Nurturing the Mind, Body, and Spirit of your dog is so important.

Ooooohhh. I love both the painting and the photo of Force. But he is just such a happy boy. I can't help but smile everytime I see him.

It was great. Sounds like lots was going on. I have not quite finished the painting but want to have it done to photograph this weekend - we'll see I like the expression so far. Everybody that stopped by seemed to love Force. Back to you soon.

Hi Bobbie, I have done all the preliminary work and I intend to bring it to Alberta Art Hop and paint it on site this Saturday. I had intended to paint it before but had several commissions I needed to do first. I LOVE the pic and am very eager to paint that winning smile. Come on out and see me I would love to meet my inspiring subject!

I just feel soooo bad that those tunnels are so small for him in comparison!! He's is really good natured about it!:O) Then again, we rarely practice tunnels!

The skijoring is going well! I haven't done any more workshops and probably won't since the season is winding down. Heffner and Bess together are AWESOME. Bess by herself scares the CRAP out of me! She has no concept of slowing down or stopping. I'm trying to work with her on that with the scooter. It's going fairly well, except when she sees things like deer. Then it's no good!!

How are your wonderful boys doing?? How are things in general?

Hey Bobbie...
Sorry, I never heard back last week so didn't schedule.
All for nought either way, as I am grounded and can't drive till I find my ss card so I can get my drivers license renewed!
I'm really sorry to miss it! I'll let you know when I'm back to driving and we can reschedule????
