Hi Everyone!
This Event took place Last September. I'm leaving the group up in case they invite us again. At this point there is no new activity at all. I don't expect any until Spring, assuming they want pdxdog town to be part of it.

Hi everyone;
I know I'm slow in doing this, but wanted to share a couple of the photos I took at the RiverFest. It was fun meeting people in the flesh and fur, and of course I always enjoy taking pix! (I have full sizes of the photos if anyone wants them, just let me know)

I was there representing Oregon Dog Rescue and we had a fantastic time. We brought 4 dogs and adopted one. The good news is we probably handed out a 100 or more flyers and information on the importance of adopting through a humane society or rescue rather than a pet shop. We don't come to fair type events anticipating adopting many dogs. We prefer people not to adopt spur of the moment but rather to get acquainted with us, think seriously about dog ownership and what they are willing to commit to a dog and then call us later in the week if they are still interested. We have numerous potential adoptives that are in this catagory as a result of the fair. We also met several new volunteers and potential foster parents. That is always a huge need for us. All in all I think for the first time it was a sucess and would participate annually if invited.
Thank you to all the members who made the meeting, helped with planning and Andrea, can say enough about your generosity and commitment! Everyone was great and it was fun meeting members from PDXDog in person!

I am looking forward to learning everything we can from this event. Your positive comments are so nice and mean a lot to me and everyone who worked on this project.

Trust me, I will take all your comments and suggestions seriously. Your positive remarks make me/us happy and your good critiques will help us all do better next time.

There is a high likelihood that we will be asked to do things like this again.
