I don't see any mention yet of Wilsonville's large and fully fenced dog park. My guy Rocky loves to meet-and-greet every dog there, then he wanders off by himself to investigate every corner. See directions and details at http://www.dogparkusa.com/oregon/portland/wilsonville-dog-park-memorial-park

Hope to see you at our picnic in the park tomorrow (Saturday 8/14) at 2 pm at Gabriel Park in SW Portland.

It's located at 45th and Vermont. Look for us in the dog park section...we'll have a big yellow sign!



It is supposed to be HOT tomorrow, so it probably won't be a long event....I'm guessing not over an hour. We have pugs, and they're not "hot weather" dogs!



If you want to bring picnic items for yourself or to share with others, great! Like I said, it will be hot, so don't bring anything that won't do well in the sun (for example, potato salad!). We're bringing chips, cookies, zucinni bread...and dog treats for all our doggies, of course!



We will have a big dog bowl for water,

and there is fresh water there, as well as scoop bags (although it never hurts to bring extras!).



Gabriel Park is fenced, but as always be careful when you park and when going through the fence (it's not a double fence).

Just a reminder that next Saturday (8/14) will be our second gathering for our Summer Picnic in the Park series. We will be at Gabriel Park at 2 pm...just look for the big yellow PDXdog sign! Hope to see you there!

InBark, Portland's first true indoor dog park, will be opening this Saturday, June 19th. InBark has nearly 5,000 sq feet of indoor turf, a water feature, and a park-like setting for you to play with your dogs without the mess! We'll also have a kids' play area, small dog park, daycare and boarding. It's an "outdoor experience indoors". Check out our website at www.goInbark.com.

Laurelhurst is close to the Hawthorne area and has a large off leash area most of the year. It moves to a smaller area for the summer.so they can grow the grass out. The tree cover there is beautiful.
